Millair Climate Control & Electrical is proud to announce our recent contract with Groote Eylandt Mining Corporation (GEMCO), a subsidiary of BHP, one of the world's leading resources companies. This extensive project involved the chemical coil cleaning of 2000 air conditioners and Residual Current Device (RCD) Testing of housing and non-processing infrastructure over a period of 9 weeks. Our team was tasked with enhancing the operational efficiency, safety, and longevity of the HVAC systems across GEMCO's extensive facilities, a testament to our expertise and capability in managing large-scale, critical maintenance projects in the mining sector.

  • Chemical Coil Cleaning of 2000 Air Conditioners: Our comprehensive service included the chemical cleaning of air conditioner coils for 2000 units. This process is crucial for removing dirt, debris, and biological contaminants that accumulate over time, improving air quality, and ensuring the units operate at maximum efficiency. This task was carried out with meticulous attention to detail, adhering to the highest standards of environmental and safety protocols.
  • RCD Testing: The project scope also encompassed RCD Testing across GEMCO's housing and non-processing infrastructure. RCDs are essential for protecting against electrical shocks and fire hazards, and our testing services were designed to ensure that all RCDs were functioning correctly, providing a safe living and working environment for all GEMCO personnel.
